My research experience bridges immunology and cell biology, with an overall goal of identifying the cellular processes that initiate protective immunity and how these are dysregulated in disease contexts. Previous work has identified novel inborn errors of immunity, described immune cell-cell communication, and advanced our understanding of B cell antigen capture, signalling and activation. My current research is focused on how cellular processes such as intracellular trafficking coordinate signalling and metabolic changes upon immune cell activation, and how these processes are altered in autoimmunity and malignancy.
