Alice Stanton is a clinician-scientist. She is currently Professor in Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Director of Intermediate Cycle of the Medical School at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Consultant in Hypertension Medicine at Beaumont and the National Maternity Hospitals, Dublin, and Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians in Ireland.
Particular research interests include the management of resistant hypertension, non-invasive measurement of the vasculature, cardiovascular genetics, personalized medicine and most recently the impact of micronutrients on health and wellbeing. She has had grants and fellowships from the Health Research Board (Ireland), Enterprise Ireland, the Higher Education Authority (Ireland), the Irish Heart Foundation the British Heart Foundation, Engineering Physical Science Research Council (UK), Medical Research Council (UK) and the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme.
She has authored in excess of 100 peer-reviewed published papers including the following recent publications;
