ICAT Fellows – 3 Cohorts appointed

The third cohort of ICAT Fellows will be officially appointed to the programme in July 2019. The successful applicants impressed the international peer reviewers and interview panel with their research and clinical experience and ambitions.

The six new ICAT Fellows are currently training in Haematology (x2), Plastic Surgery, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases and Psychiatry, and are based in Northern Ireland (x2) and the Republic of Ireland (x4).

The Fellows will be appointed to UCC, TCD, UCD, QUB (x2) and RCSI, and will spend the first year of ICAT developing their PhD project proposals and honing their research skills.

ICAT encourages innovative thinking, multi-institutional and cross-disciplinary approaches to research; the new ICAT Fellows will be guided in their PhD project proposal development by the ICAT Supervisors and the Executive Team.

The new ICAT Fellows will be officially welcomed to ICAT at the annual Induction Event in July 2019 and a special edition of the newsletter will be issued in August containing profiles of each Fellow.
